Chemistry is exciting

Chemistry is an exciting subject and the Åbo Akademi university is an excellent place to study it. The job opportunities are very good.

You can apply to the Department of Natural Sciences or the Department of Chemical Engineering. The international office will help with the application process.

Broad education

The chemistry at the Åbo Akademi university is divided in four laboratories, Analytical chemistry, Physical chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, and Organic chemistry. All four laboratories contribute to the Bachelor's studies. In addition, there are many laboratories for engineering subjects. All education at Bachelor's level will be given in Swedish.

The Åbo Akademi university offers excellent hands-on education in small groups. The research at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry is of high international standard and this is reflected in the high standard of all courses offered, including the elementary courses. Your fellow chemistry students are terrific people.
