Matec ESA-8000 Electroacoustic zeta-potential meter

ESA

Located: In the teching lab 323
Principle: Electrokinetic Sonic Analyzator
Principle: A high-frequency electric field is applied on the dispersion. The particles move electrophoretically in the applied field. If the particles' density differs from that of the liquid, the motion generates an alternating acoustic wave.
Specifications: Concentration range: 0.5% to 40% vol. (according to manufacturer)
Particle size: up to 50 µm
Volume: Minimum 30 ml, no maximum specified.
Titration: Samples can also be titrated during the measurement.
Operation: Applications: For aqueous and non aqueous dispersions.
Measures particle mobility, zeta potential, pH, conductivity and temperature.
Non destructive method. Stirring the dispersion does not affect the measurement.
Maintenance: Authorized personell only
Technical data: See the Matec pages
Manufacturer: Matec
Inventory No: JPÅA 153
Purchased: 4.6.1992
