RESEARCHThe Department incorporates several research groups. Each group has its own set of projects but they collaborate and intermix whenever wider expertise is required to solve a problem. Therefore every project will enjoy the full competence in materials science that the whole department can offer. Each research group is lead by a senior scientist. The doctoral students are assigned to one of the groups depending on heir interests; some participate in several groups.
